Meet Makenzie

Driven by my passion for the beauty industry, I embarked on a journey from a small Ohio town to Southwest Florida after high school.

I studied cosmetology and graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Fort Myers. Earning honors in Cutting, Color, and Texture, where I made my mark on the Dean's list. In 2018, I moved my career to Central Florida, launching "The Hive."

My specialties include lived-in color (balayage/foiliayge) and hair extensions.  Certifications with Olaplex, Waterfall Beaded Row, and Bellami Professional extensions. All of my services can be found on my Service Menu. 

I am fortunate to have experienced various opportunities including traveling for beauty pageants, destination weddings, and  'Dillards, Paul Mitchell” fashion shows. My commitment to education led me to travel for advanced learning in hair extensions and color. I am always eager to stay updated on the latest hair trends.

At The Hive, there are multiple Queen Bees, including you and me! My goal was to craft a personalized, luxurious experience for my guests, ensuring you feel beautiful in a comfortable yet trendy environment.
